Working With Codelabs

The basics — who we are, where we work, and how an engagement starts.

  • What services does Codelabs provide?

  • Where is Codelabs located?

Our client-facing office is at Prime Tower, Business Bay, Dubai, with a US presence in Dover, Delaware, and our engineering delivery team is based in Karachi, Pakistan. That structure lets us combine on-the-ground presence in the UAE with a full in-house development team.

  • How do I start a project with you?

Reach out through the contact form, email [email protected], or WhatsApp. We start with a free scoping call to understand your requirements, then send a written proposal with scope, timeline and a fixed quote. There's no charge and no commitment until you approve the proposal.

  • Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. We're happy to sign a mutual NDA before any detailed discussion of your idea or business — just ask, or bring your own template. We never sell or share the information you submit through our forms; it's used only to respond to your inquiry.

  • Do you work with startups or only established companies?

Both. Our portfolio ranges from startup MVPs to systems for established retailers, healthcare providers and government projects. Pricing tiers are structured so smaller builds can start lean and scale up — many clients launch with a basic version first and expand once it's validated.

Projects & Process

How we run a build from kickoff to launch.

  • How long does a typical project take?

It depends on scope: a standard business website typically takes a few weeks, an e-commerce store or mobile app usually runs two to three months, and larger custom platforms or ERP implementations take longer. Your proposal includes a concrete timeline with milestones, and we flag any risk to it as soon as we see one — not at the deadline.

  • How involved do I need to be during the project?

You'll be most involved at the start (requirements and design approval) and at milestones. Between those, we work independently and keep you updated — you review working software at each stage rather than waiting for a big reveal at the end. Feedback rounds are built into the plan.

  • Who owns the code and design when the project is done?

You do. On final payment, the code, designs and all project deliverables belong to you, including source files and repository access. We don't lock clients in — if you ever want another team to take over, they'll have everything they need.

  • Can you take over or fix an existing project built by someone else?

Yes — rescues and takeovers are common. We start with a technical audit of the existing codebase, give you an honest assessment of what's salvageable versus what should be rebuilt, and quote from there. System upgrades and app maintenance are dedicated services precisely for this.

  • Which technologies do you work with?

Web: PHP/Laravel, WordPress and WooCommerce, Shopify, and modern JavaScript. Mobile: native iOS/Android and cross-platform builds. ERP: Odoo. Plus PostgreSQL/MySQL, cloud hosting (AWS and others), and AI integrations including computer vision and LLM-based agents. We recommend the stack that fits your project rather than forcing a favorite.

Pricing & Payments

How our published ranges and billing work. Full details on the pricing page.

  • How much does a website or app cost?

We publish starting ranges openly: websites from $500, mobile apps from $3,000, custom software from $3,000, and monthly plans for digital marketing and agentic AI. The exact figure depends on scope, and you get a fixed written quote after a free scoping call — see the pricing page for every service's range.

  • How is payment structured?

In stages tied to milestones — such as kickoff, design approval, and delivery — so you never pay in full upfront and never pay for work that hasn't started. The exact schedule is written into your proposal before anything begins.

  • Are there ongoing costs after launch?

The predictable ones are hosting and any third-party services your project uses (payment gateways, SMS, AI usage). Maintenance is optional: some clients handle updates themselves since they own the code, others take a maintenance arrangement with us. We'll tell you the expected running costs before you commit, not after.

Support & After Launch

What happens once your project is live.

  • What support do you provide after delivery?

Every project includes a stabilization period after launch where we fix any defects at no charge. Beyond that, you can reach us at [email protected] for ongoing help, and we offer maintenance arrangements covering updates, backups, security patches and small improvements.

  • My site or app is down — what do I do?

Email [email protected] or message us on WhatsApp at +971 52 668 4165. For clients on maintenance arrangements, urgent issues are prioritized ahead of scheduled work.

  • Can you keep improving the product after launch?

Yes — most of our long-term clients work that way: launch first, then iterate with new features in planned phases. Because we built the system, follow-on work starts fast, and you can see examples across our case studies where version one grew into a much larger platform.
